A Higher Level of Cooling For Those That Need It
The Liquid Freezer III Pro from Arctic is similar to the original non-Pro version, with the same extra thick 38mm radiator and an impressive array of RGBitis. The difference is in the fans, the Pro version maintains higher pressure and moves more air than the original. That has a slight side effect however, a hint of which is given by the lack of any mention of the sound pressure produced in the specifications. OCInside discovered that indeed, while running at lower speeds the fans are relatively quiet but when they are running at 100% you are definitively going to notice the Liquid Freezer III Pro running. Indeed they even found their test system vibrating when the fans were running full speed.
The good news is that the Liquid Freezer III Pro also provides an impressive level of cooling. If you are a serious overclocker or grabbed a CPU which is rated at 200W TDP or higher the Liquid Freezer III Pro is up to the challenge and will keep that CPU running cooler than the non-Pro version. If you’re running a lower powered system, the non-Pro might be a better choice, but if you are taming a beast of a CPU is your priority then this review is for you.
